We just spent a week at Wilderness in the Smokies. We ate at the Thirsty Miner 3 different times. Each time was great. Two times we got pizza to go. The pizza was well done and very filling. My kids loved the cheese pizza. Each time it was a good temp for my kids to eat right away. If you have kids you know it can be a pain for hungry children to wait for food to cool down. One time we dinned in the restaurant. It was really good. The waitress was super nice and fast. Then the food was tasty and well prepared. I will add pictures below. We sat by the window and my kids stayed distracted by everything to look at. Also, because it is such a kid friendly place I don't feel as bad if my kids start talking to other kids at the next booth. Everyone is there with their family and having a good time. Lastly, the price was great! We went out and had breakfast, lunch, and dinner between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and this dinner was the least expensive.

I have no idea what people are rating this restaurant so low... but the food was really good!!! The night we went, the buffet wasn’t open, so we ordered off of the menu and the service was top notch and every thing we ordered came out fast and was delicious! We will be back!

Our waitress, Dakota, was very attentive and I couldn't be more pleased with her service/attention to our table. Due to construction, the buffet is pretty limited but the price projects that. I suggest having hand sanitizer at the buffet for customers to use.
